24 Kilates x Asics Gel Respector Virgin Extra
As a part of their 10-year anniversary, 24 Kilates have teamed up with ASICS for a special release of the ever-popular GEL-Respector.
The Asics Gel-Respector “Virgin Extra” has been redesigned to look like Spain’s beloved product — the olive oil — and it’s a colourful sneaker release to look at. Packing rich reds and greens along it’s upper, the shoe is made up of supple suede and leather in various shades to represent the ripe olive.
The upper is constructed out of a combination of various textures, including leather, smooth and perforated suede, and a satin-like fabric along the lower tongue tag. Using a palette of green, tan and purple to remember the colouring of raw Arbequina olives that are used in the production of the olive oil, the final product is at once diverse and consistent. A custom insole featuring an olive branch graphic and “10th anniversary” text rounds off the look of this spectacular release.
The 24 Kilates x ASICS Gel – Respector “Virgin Extra” will drop on the 16th of January at Shelflife.
