Asics has just released a silhouette that is inspired by the Southern France province of Aix-En and of course Lavender. The end result is this Asics Gel Lyte V ‘Aix-En Provence’ release that will be taking place on Saturday the 30th of July 2016.

This ASICS Gel Lyte V comes constructed with a premium Lavender suede upper with off-White contrasting accents on the heel.

”Inspired by a late-night Provençal picnic and lavender. The sides of Mount St.Victoire (Southern France) have been thickly coated in Lavender for as long as anyone can remember. It was this Lavender covered mountain that Paul Cezanne immortalised in some of his most famous works and it is the purple flower that is the inspiration for the latest release from Asics Tiger.

The legacy of ASICS innovation continues with the introduction of the Gel-Lyte V, a subtle progression within the Gel-Lyte series that features a sole unit with a stability insert, Gel pad at the heel and P-Gel in the forefoot, as well as a sleeker, more form-fitting toe design to create extra comfort. It’s a more flexible and lighter sneaker. A product of this time and an intelligent piece of performance shoe design."

Dressed in a premium Lavender suede upper, the Gel Lyte 5 is contrasted by the off-White accents on the heel. Another shade of White is placed on the sole unit to help offset the look of the shoe even more. Although Lavender is typically not a shoe often used on sneakers, there is no doubt that Asics did their thing with this pair.

The Asics Gel Lyte V ‘Aix-En Provence’ drops on the 30th of July 2016 for the retail price of R2199.00
