Carhartt WIP x Converse One Star - Cordura Pack
Coming in three colourways, black, white, olive, the latest collaboration between Carhartt WIP and Converse sees an upper constructed of high durable and abrasion-resistant Cordura fabric. One such example is the adaptation of military clothing for the streets, which is where this One Star pack draws most of its key features from.
Since its inception in 1989, Carhartt WIP (Work In Progress) has been adopted and championed by a more style-concious audience that sits well outside of the brand’s roots in core workwear. With durability still in mind, the working man’s label has infused these three finely crafted selection with Cordura fabric, a long-lasting textile composed primarily of nylon with cotton an other fibers mixed in for strength and comfort.
Carhartt branding can be seen on the One Star’s tongue and insoles, while Cordura’s signature tag comes partially-concealed between its tongue and ankle collar. A subtle nod to Carhartt’s roots in Detroit makes its presence known on the aforementioned tongue label as well, with a “313” area code. A die-cut Converse One Star dons each colour’s midfoot to complete the look, presenting a customary look for the brand’s avid fans.
Together, Converse and Carhartt WIP have once again hit the sweet spot between workwear and streetwear while simultaneously giving sneakerheads another dope sneaker drop to look forward to.
