Concepts x New Balance "City Rivals"
Sneaker boutique Concepts has joined forces with New Balance to release a special edition “City Rivalry” Pack that’s inspired by the battle between New York City and Boston, with their Baseball teams the New York Yankees and the Red Sox.
This Rivalry release consists of two different pairs of New Balance sneakers, the New Balance 997 and the 998. New York is represented on the New Balance 997 which features a light green/teal upper with silver accents that serves as a nod to the Statue of Liberty. While the 998 silhouette represents the Boston Red Sox which comes in a clay and green colour scheme.
Like their "Red Sox" 998 counterpart, these colours don't exactly scream "Yankees," but that's hardly a bad thing – both silhouettes are made in the U.S.A and will come in a special concession stand-inspired box.
The Concepts x New Balance “City Rivals” will release this Saturday the 16th of April in store only for the retail price of R5499.00
