FILA "96 "Olympic"
It’s been almost 21 years since the FILA ’96 “Olympic” sneakers were first released. Way back in 1996—FILA released these sneakers to coincide with the 1996 Summer Olympics. And they were an instant hit, both with basketball players and sneakerheads who wore these FILA ’96 sneakers more casually. Twenty years later, they’re making a comeback and it appears they will be a hit once again.
As you can see, the FILA ’96 “Olympic” re-release looks exactly like the original FILA ’96 “Olympic.” It features a mostly white upper, hits of red and blue throughout the sneaker, and a speckled outer sole. These sneakers were originally crafted for Grant Hill, who wore them back when the men’s U.S. Olympic basketball team won the gold medal over Yugoslavia at the Summer Olympics in Georgia. He also wore other FILA ’96 sneakers during the NBA season.
The FILA ’96 “Olympic” will drop this Saturday the 21st of January 2017 for the retail price of R1499.00
