Fila Dropping Exclusively at Shelflife this December
We’re proud to announce on the 1st of December we will be exclusively releasing the Fila brand in South Africa.
The history of Fila began in 1911, when two Italian brothers, the Filas, created the company as an underwear manufacturer. In the 1970s, the company, with director, Enrico Frachey, turned its focus towards sportswear and athletic shoes, attempting to compete with Nike and Reebok.
Fila really made a name for itself in the tennis market, where several tennis professionals have endorsed and carried the brand. Players such as Bjorn Borg, Boris Becker, Jennifer Capriati, and Monica Seles. During the 80’s and 90’s, Fila continued to be a tennis powerhouse. Fila made sure to leave no stones unturned, as the brand has also made noise in basketball, baseball, soccer, and motorsports.
Fila continues to deliver timeless classics with their uniquely simple designs and usage of trendy materials. The Fila brand has left its stamp in history, and will continue to do so.
