HERO by Ed Young Exhibition
OPEN 24 HRS is excited to present a solo project by Ed Young opening this evening. OPEN 24 HRS is a commission based exhibition space, based in the entrance of a newly renovated building in Harrington Street, The Harrington.
Ed Young designs work of minimal content in pursuit of perpetual happiness. Since his arrival on the South African art scene, Young has been celebrated for his inability to adapt and has long since overstayed his welcome. He is susceptible to poor decision making and often falling in with the wrong crowd. Somewhat insincere, recurring interests and themes include hints of disinterest, frequent and unnecessary references to Enya, restless leg syndrome, Lacanian lap dances, unrealistic fantasies of a Sister Act II reboot and a genuine and fundamental lack of understanding.
The HERO by Ed Young Exhibition opens this evening 13 February at 17:30, held at OPEN 24 HRS space at The Harrington, 50 Harrington Street, Cape Town.
