Mario Kart Coming to Mobile
After a delay in March earlier this year, Nintendo's favourite cart racer Mario Kart is set to hit mobile in a month's time!
Coming to iOS and Android, Mario Kart Tour will be completely free and allow you to play and beat all your friends on their own devices. World Tour is set to include classic courses such as Rainbow Road, Luigi’s Mansion, as well as a bunch of new real-world inspired tracks based on Tokyo, New York, and more.
Continuing the theme of World Tour, special in-game event courses inspired by real-world locations will only be playable during certain times. It will also allow players to add 'local flavour' of the cities featured through unlockable characters, karts and gliders. This info comes from the closed beta where a small group of lucky racers were able to play the game early.
While little more is known about the upcoming mobile release, it seems to keep with the usual Mario Kart style you've come to love, with some added worldly features and portability. You can even pre-order the game for free right now! For Android and for iPhone. The release is set for 25 September 2019, though the country roll-out is unknown.
