New Features Coming to FIFA 20 Unveiled

Following the announcement trailer in June, FIFA have revealed their latest trailer for number 20 with all that gameplay goodness! And yes, there is no sign of Juventus thanks to an exclusvie deal with PES.

The clip sees players Raheem Sterling, Mohamed Salah, Jadon Sanch and more hit the field to show off updated, as well as brand-new moves and features. Check out the main ones below!

Set-Piece Rewrite

You can expect a complete overhaul of the set-piece manual, which will come as a relief to those of you who failed to score much on FIFA 19.

Players can now pick a target by using the right analog stick - something that first appeared on FIFA 02 - and add curl, dip or extra power when taking a free-kick. The hope is adding more options for free-kicks, as many complained it was too hard to score a free-kick directly in 19.

Composed Finishing

FIFA 20 is said to encourage more attacking gameplay with players being more clinical in front of goals when one-on-one with the keeper. But those crazy shots from far outside the box might be over too, with FIFA making riskier and more audacious shots harder to execute and score from.

Ball Physics

The ball and its physics have undergone massive changes, apparently. It will now move more naturally than ever before thanks to what FIFA calls 'Football-Informed Motion.' The ball's movement will now have 'more authentic spins and bounces', as well 'New Shot Trajectories', producing far more variation with curling shoots, knuckleballs, dipping free kicks and rising strikes.

Dynamic 1v1s

The last feature worth calling out is Dynamic 1v1s. FIFA 20 will offer more control in attacking situations, as well as more ways to get past an opponent, while simultaneously handing the defender a wider range of skills to win back the ball.

Stay tuned for the release of FIFA 20 on 27 September 2019. Pre-orders are open via BT Games.
