The Air Jordan 10 “Rio” is the latest Air Jordan 10 that pays tribute to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, which is where the 2016 Olympics will be held.
At the time of the Air Jordan 10’s initial release, the man behind the Jumpman retired from basketball to compete on the diamond. When you flip the shoe over – the sole gives nod to some of His Airness’ most memorable achievements on the court. Back in ‘95, Jordan Brand took the story-telling concept a step further with the ‘City Series’ Pack. Decades later, the city inspired pack continues with the Air Jordan 10 Retro ’Rio’.
The shoe is dressed in a Wolf Grey, Photo Blue, Obsidian, and Green Glow colour scheme. Featuring a Grey and Obsidian tumbled leather throughout the upper with the RIO logo embroidered on the collar.
To further symbolize the South American country, the outsole flaunts a mixture of yellow, green and blue tones to evoke the country’s flag, in addition to an embroidery of the nation located across its collar.
