Using the overall silhouette of the Air Max 1; the first Tinker Hatfield designed model which included a visible Air Unit in the heel; Nike fits the Ultra Moire with design aspects inspired by the Nike Air Zoom Moire+ - the first Nike+ enabled shoe - seeing a new hybrid silhouette that drastically reduces weight, enhances levels of comfort on foot and presents an all-new simplified aesthetic.
Along with a one-piece, fully-perforated and seamless upper, the Ultra Moire blends panels of plush synthetic suede with reflective 3M sections, seen along the mudguard, Swoosh, eye-stays and heel. A Phylon midsole, reengineered to reduce the amount of rubber, further encourages the lightweight feel with the signature visible Air Unit in the heel and a Natural Motion flex-grooved outsole.
