Nike Air Max 97 OG “Silver Bullet”

The Nike Air Max 97 OG ‘Silver Bullet’ will return during June 2017. This Nike Air Max 97 OG celebrates the silhouettes 20th Anniversary. This late-1990s style defines the era of big design with a futuristic approach. With its reflective fluid lines and silvery tone inspired by Japan's bullet trains, and its early venture into full-length Max Air cushioning, this shoe continues to turn heads.

The Nike Air Max 97 was a special model because it was the first Nike shoe to feature a full-length Air unit on the sole. The Silver Bullet colourway was designed by Christian Tresser and it was an instant hit. The ‘Silver Bullet’ is a direct re-creation of an iconic colourway, first released in the debut year of the Air Max 97. Otherwise known as the ‘Metallic Silver’ edition, this lightweight and comfortable runner was way ahead of its time. It not only looked futuristic but boasted state of the art performance that wouldn’t be out of place in today’s sneaker offerings.

This Nike Air Max 97 returns in it’s classic original colour scheme of Metallic Silver, Varsity Red, White and Black. Also known as ‘LA Silver’, this pair features Metallic Silver throughout. Red accents are also spotted which lands on the Nike Swoosh. Completing the look is White and Black hits and 3M reflective accents.

The Nike Air Max 97 OG Silver Bullet will drop at our CPT & JHB store on Saturday the 3rd of June 2017 for the retail price of R2899.00.
