Nike Air Max 97 Premium
The Nike Air Max line is remarkable consisting of an array of impeccably designed runners that have also found their ways to the street. Introduced in the late 90’s, the Air Max 97 provoked a style unlike previous models released within the line. The runner featured a full-length Max Air that was visible throughout the entire midsole. Never before was air fully seen until this model. The wave like design on the upper emphasizes its cool style that has never gone out.
Fans of the Nike Air Max 97 silhouette will be happy to hear that two brand new colourways of the shoe will drop later this week. One of new colourways celebrating the Nike Air Max 97‘s 20th anniversary is this classic wolf grey/cool grey edition. A soft and premium upper covers the AM97 with suede utilised alongside nylon and mesh. As always, the wavy style showcases a vintage inspired look that could only have originated from 90s street culture. This Premium ‘Grey’ colourway is complimented by lighter hits of yellow and sail which travel across the entire upper. The sidewall features the conventional mini-Swoosh and a chunky padded tongue promises that snug comfort. To complete the look, this style sits on a white midsole complete with that full length Air Unit.
Following the Premium Cool Grey edition is this new premium colourway of light bone which is one of the shoe’s cleaner pairs this season that is covered in a mixture of white and beige. This pair is featured in a light shade of bone, accented by hits of white to the chunky midsole as well as the laces and tongue. That wavy construct still pays homage to the old school and you’ll enjoy all the comfort of that 360-degree cushioning unit. A contrasting white mini-Swoosh is stamped to the sidewall and a heel pull allows for easy on, easy off mobility.
The Nike Air Max 97 Premium “Cool Grey” & “Light Bone” colourways will drop in CPT, JHB and online on Thursday the 31st of August 2017 for the retail price of R2699.00 each.
