Nike x Parra Collaboration
Shelflife are proud to announce that we will be releasing the upcoming collaboration between Nike and Amsterdam-based artist Piet Parra! The next Parra collaboration quenches the thirsts of Air Max fanatics that have followed this series since the first chapter in 2005. Parra’s first Air Max 1 “Amsterdam” was followed in 2010 by the iconic three-party collaboration including Patta for the “Cherrywood” Air Max 1s, widely regarded as one of the best AM1 collaborations of all time.
Including an Air Max 1, Zoom Spiridon, and a track jacket, the Parra x Nike Sportswear collection features a series of prints and patterns that offer up something appealing to the hardcore collectors and the younger generation of footwear fanatics. These are likely to disappear fast as hype is high and the supply is low.
The Air Max 1's toe section is adorned with a white and grey diagonal stripe, with a similar pattern in tonal pink around the heel. A blue-and-white polka dot pattern runs between these two panels. Other details include pastel-pink Parra embroidery, a light blue Swoosh and red eyelets, tongue branding and air unit. The sneaker is finished with pink, red and two tones of blue on the sole.
The new Spiridon features the same mash-up of striped and dotted patterns as the rest of the collaboration boldly featured on the shoe’s mudguard, while a clean white mesh makes up the remainder of the upper. There is a small white Swoosh on the forefoot, large metallic blue one on the midfoot, and small red one on the tongue, provide branding, and multiple lines of reflective detailing. The shoe is completed with a white midsole, bright aqua blue outsole, candy-cane style lace tips, and patterned insoles for a final pop of flair. For a little extra collaborative goodness, the shoe also comes with a co-branded dustbag.
The global release date for the Nike x Parra pack is 21 July 2018, with the Shelflife release coming soon after. Stay locked to our page for more info closer to the time.
