Public Art Competition in Cape Town
Creative Nestlings has announced the inaugural Langa Quarter Street Art/Graffiti competition and is looking for artists to assist in the graphic transformation of the Langa Quarter Precinct.
Artists are required to submit a proposed sketch no later than 11 December 2013 to [email protected]. Out of the submissions, 17 artists will be selected by the curatorial panel and will be notified on the 12-13 December 2013. The artists will be required to paint a section of the wall outside Langa Stadium, and the best artwork will be awarded a grand prize; R6000 cash prize, permission to paint another wall in Langa and 1 commissioned wall in Cape Town CBD. Artists are free to apply as a collective or as an individual.
