Sneaker Exchange 2018
South Africa’s biggest sneaker event is happening at the end of the month in Cape Town, followed by its Johannesburg counterpart a week later.
Like past years, Sneaker Exchange (SXC) will be home to the rarest and most sought of sneakers in all of South Africa, with attendees able to buy, sell or trade their grails with one another. Serious sellers are also able to rent tables to display their selection of sneakers and even rare clothing on offer.
Since its inception in 2013, Sneaker Exchange has grown from strength to strength as a well organised event that celebrates sneakers and the culture that surrounds it. The event has also become somewhat of a concert, with massive local artists performing each year. Past year’s have hosted big names like Ricky Rick, Caspar Nyovest, Youngsta and Frank Casino. This year will also feature a “platform hour”, where local up-and-comers can apply for a chance to perform one song to a packed Sneaker Exchange.

The new venue for Cape Town is the Terminal Cruise in the Waterfront, while the Johannesburg exchange will be held at the Fox Junction.
