Most of the sneaker Internet has seen the LEGO creations of Tom Yoo, who has earned his fame by creating adaptations of classic Air Jordans from bricks of your childhood.

At one point or another, we played with LEGO – but did you ever think of recreating your favourite sneaker using this childhood toy?

Worn by Michael Jordan as he made “The Shot” in the 1989 NBA Playoffs, the moment has become a fixed mark in the history of basketball, and in sneaker culture. Here, designer and hardcore LEGO fan Tom Yoo has rebuilt the sneaker in plastic brick form, utilizing stop motion to show the gradual construction of the shoe into what is actually a very unique display piece.

This video captures the artist putting together an actual physcial Air Jordan 4, made entirely of LEGO. The video captures the transition from 735 individual pieces into one Air Jordan, unfortunately it doesn't come with an inventory or instructions on how to make one of our own.
