Yeezy Cycling Shoes
Cycling shoes aren’t usually on the minds of sneakerheads. But State Bicycle Co. changed that. They copped one of the most sought-after sneakers, the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 Beluga 2.0, and decided to make them truly unique by using a pair of DZR Minna’s as “donor” shoes and seeking the expert help of Jake Danklefs of Dank & Co Customs.
Mehdi Farsi, the co-founder of State Bicycle Co. in Arizona, was talking with friends about how cycling footwear is rarely all that visually appealing. As hip-hop fans and sneaker enthusiasts, they decided to act. 
Luckily one of his customers is Jacob Danklefs, a famous shoe designer who has customized kicks for the likes of NBA stars LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, and Tim Duncan, as well as rappers like Jay-Z, Diddy, and Post Malone. Danklefs rides a bit, so when Farsi shared the idea for a Yeezy/cycling shoe mashup, they decided to go for it. Unlike other cycling shoes modeled after sneakers, which typically run on the heavy side, Farsi says his Yeezys are extremely comfortable and much lighter.
The Yeezy Boost cost them $400 (R5400) and another $100 (R1350) for the the donor pair of cycling shoes.
