Above The Clouds x ASICS GT-2160
ASICS is pleased to unveil the second iteration of its highly covered collaboration with Australian retailer, Above The Clouds, with the release of the GT-2160 sneaker.
Above The Clouds is a multi-faceted retail experience, which proudly doesn’t fit neatly into one category, style, or genre. The brands diverse product offering coupled with inclusive brand messaging attracts customers from a broad range of backgrounds, age-groups, and geographic locations. Housing a diverse mix of new and established brands from around the world, Above The Clouds is an exploration and celebration of dualities; of seemingly disparate concepts and ideas co-existing and intermingling harmoniously.
The latest design of the Above The Clouds X ASICS GT-2160 sneaker draws inspiration from the Japanese Maple tree, with seasonal earthy colours showcased across the shoe’s upper and midsole.
Experimental materials are weaved throughout the legacy model to create a refined and elevated silhouette that modernizes the classic heritage of the ASICS GT-2160 design. In keeping with the heritage trainer’s iconic design language, the Above The Clouds X ASICS GT-2160 sneaker will maintain its traditional wavy forefoot sculpting and GEL technology for advanced cushioning underfoot.
This second iteration of the Above The Clouds X ASICS GT-2160 sneaker will launch exclusively at Shelflife on Saturday the 27th of July.
Available online at 8am, in Cape Town store at 8:30am and in Joburg store at 10am for R2999 in UK6-UK9 (no UK9 available in stores).
