adidas Consortium x Concepts EQT Support 93/16
Concepts was established in 1996 in the heart of Harvard Square in Cambridge, Massachusetts, as one of the first shops to cater to the lifestyle consumer (footwear, menswear, sportswear, actions sports, premium denim and outerwear).
Concepts is considered a founding father in retail, having lay down the blueprint to a market that has become the foundation of premium retailers around the world. This may sound like a familiar formula to footwear enthusiasts in 2016, but that is only because retailers like Concepts pushed the envelope and provided a blueprint for other stores to follow.
Consortium seeks to elevate models from the adidas fleet, and in collaborating with Concepts, they present the EQT Support 93/16 in its most luxurious form ever. They take the sneaker’s performance legacy, add a modern sole and give the shoe a makeover using premium materials topped off by subtle ennoblements such as gold accents and silver/reflective highlights.
Originally released back in 1993, the original EQT Support provided runners with stability and comfort. Over the following two decades it has grown from a classic runner into a style staple. The significant shift with the 93/16 model is the inclusion of the boost sole, drafted in from adidas’ current running footwear.
The boost provides supreme comfort and contemporary lightweight cushioning. This release arrives in a black and white colour combination as well as a sage and light plush pink, both models come in soft suede with either a perforated toe-box or reflective mesh toe-box detailing.
The adidas Consortium x Concepts EQT Support 93/16 will be dropping at Shelflife on September the 10th 2016 for the retail price of R2699.00! This release will be available at our CPT store as well as our JHB store and online!
