Brain Dead Celebrates Vibram's Anniversary with Wood FiveFingers
Vibram are celebrating its famous FiveFingers' anniversary this year. To celebrate the weird but effective glove-like shoe, Vibram Lab has invited some of their best collaborators to put their own spin on the iconic yellow hexagon brand. Enter - Brain Dead, who showed off their entry into the anniversary exhibition that's taking place in Milan yesterday.
Brain Dead incorporated traditional Japanese geta footwear where the top has a full Vibram FiveFingers rubber sole engraved into its wooden surface. This carved-out space perfectly hugs an actual pair of FiveFingers and comes together for an interesting appearance of wood and rubber. The bottom sees rubber on the “teeth” of the clogs and co-branding in the form of Vibram’s crest logo and Brain Dead head motif. Would do you think would rock these?
