Converse x Feng Chen Wang Chuck 70 2-in-1 Pack
Back in October of 2018, Feng Chen Wang impressed atop the runways of Shanghai, the designer showcasing an extensive mainline collection atop feet dressed in Chuck 70s. And this was certainly no ordinary Converse as Wang both hand-painted and reconstructed over 30 pairs to create a number of patchworked creations unique in any sense of the word. While handmade at first, these very concepts have now been further refined as they’re set to release near two years after through the 2-in-1 Chuck 70.
Though only prepared in two colourways, the collaborative silhouette effectively covers both grounds. A neutral complement arrives adjacent to colour, breathing in elements from both the white and black pairs that sit among the Boston-based brand’s permanent collection. The darker of the two acts as the base, bringing along silver metallic hardware and all-over branded laces, while the attached side panel wraps the counter in a much lighter canvas.
Soles, though identical along the profile and toe, are then brought into focus as the Feng Chen Wang branding leads the eye downwards to the pronounced split and dual tabs. If you prefer colour, the accompanying release doses a loud orange to the outer layer, matching it with the logo hits along the strings; elsewhere, Parchment sprawls underneath with the same features as the aforementioned.
