Game Boy Inspired Jordan 1 Concept by Andrew Chiou
It's been a minute since we covered a custom sneaker here but this one is definitely worth it! Made by Andrew Chiou, the latest Jordan 1 creation fully embodies 90s nostalgia with this Game Boy inspired pair. Chiou used to work at Apple as a Product Designer but he's switching it up now, working for Jordan Brand in Design and Art Direction.
The pair features retro faded grey and off-white panelling, referencing the iconic grey plastic of the handheld. The Swooshes and Jordan Winged Logos then arrive in a similar-retro Pink, inspired by the buttons of the handheld. The pair also features an 8-bit label on the tongue as well as a matching 8-bit swing tag to really bring the retro gaming theme home. Completing the pair is blue text like "start", as well as the Ninedtio Game Boy logo in the same blue under the Swoosh. The pair just looks so retro and nostalgic and we knew we had to shed a light on Andrew Chiou's work.
