Born and raised in Los Angeles, Joshua Vides got his start in the streetwear industry before branching out to pursue his own creative projects full time. He deploys a stark black and white colour palette using imperfect marker strokes, adding comic-like veneer to real objects and spaces and challenging perception of dimension and reality. A true master of his craft, the power of Joshua Vides’ work is in the details; the unique and thoughtful touches that transform a simple piece into an experience of endless discovery.
From Ballantine's to BMW and now, Converse, Vide's graphic interpretations of everyday objects has become so recognisable to the public. His monochromatic, hand-drawn illustrations use bold lines to reimagine even the most recognizable items in our life.
