Keith Haring x Converse Collection
Converse's latest collection pays homage to 80's pop-art/graffiti icon Keith Haring with his iconic illustrative style mimicked via some tight embroidery work and a near monotone palette to really let the illustrations speak for themselves. Featuring Chuck 70 Hi, Ox and Run Star Hike as well as 3 apparel tees, the collection is packed with Keith Haring's iconic designs and themes.
Paying homage to his iconic drawings chalked on the vacant billboards of the New York subway, the Chuck 70 Hi gets embroidered black and white graphics liven up the organic canvas upper, depicting his pop art figures with hits of red. Haring's signature is screenprinted across the tongue, finishing the look alongside crafted Chuck 70 details like flat cotton laces and a vintage license plate
Next up, the Run Star Hike features black and white graphics depict his signature figures with pops of red, matching back to the shoe's statement, colourblocked sole.
Lastly, for footwear, the Chuck 70 Low features an all-over black and white art graphic covers the classic canvas upper along with pops of red. The look is finished with a Keith Haring signature tongue label and iconic Chuck Taylor All Star design elements, like a rubber toe bumper and toe cap.
The collection is also accompanied by 3 tees. Each tee is made from cotton and features the work of the late and great Keith Haring, as well as co-branding.
The Keith Haring x Converse Collection drops 13 May at our CPT, JHB and online store on a first come first serve basis. Online at 7am, CPT and JHB open at 10am.
