Nike Women's Air Max Muse
It might be the “Year of the Snake” but at Nike it seems it’s the year for women- opening 2025 up with the Nike Air Max Muse as a new women’s focused silhouette. Over the last month of 2024, we have seen the likes of Iris Law, Veneda Carter, and Nike athelete Qinwen Zheng styling the pair of metallic Muses, teasing in the go-to sneaker for this year.
"This silhouette was designed to surprise women sneaker fans, capturing their attention and imagination with a new application of Air—something they've never seen before", says Can Eldem, Nike Women’s footwear designer. "Our goal was to design an entirely new Air Max model focused on both expression and comfort, making the silhouette uniquely hers—sleek, beautiful and bold—while offering the kind of innovation and cushion that she expects from the Air Max franchise".
As part of the development of the Muse as a forward-thinking sneaker, Nike used computational design, applying filters of size, shape, texture and Air cushioning to envision a familiar yet completely new silhouette. The sneaker’s upper is composed of an unexpected mix of textures and finishes, creating a dynamic yet extremely wearable shoe.
With its softly exaggerated proportions and unexpected shape, the Air Max Muse draws attention to the iconic Air technology in the heel. A sleek, semi-gloss finish surrounds the Air unit, while a heightened arch adds a distinctive feminine touch.
To debut the silhouette, the sneaker arrives in a Silver Metal colourway, establishing the Muses premium, futuristic design. A blend of vibrant colourway and unique textures is set to arrive in 2025, with a glossy triple black, matte green and white metallic renditions already on the line-up.
