Philllllthy x adidas NMD S1
Brooklyn-based creator Phillip Leyesa (better known as Philllllthy) has garnered a loyal following for his wabi-sabi aesthetic and unique take on upcycling, an ethos he’s brought to his new NMD S1 collaboration with adidas.
Directly inspired by a custom pair of indigo patchwork NMDs that Philllllthy created in 2021, the new sneaker features a space-dyed Primeknit upper with a melange of patterned details, a semi-translucent ice blue midsole that’s stuffed with white BOOST foam and a toothed outsole that uses adidas Originals‘ trefoil logo as a cushioning pattern. Philllllthy’s signature P logo appears on the midsole, and the look is completed by custom laces and tan suede tongue tabs.
