Label boss, radio host, producer, DJ, dad and streetwear lover - Kid Fonque has been a constant feature in our ecosystem for more than a decade.
One of the hardest working men in the game, traversing barriers and showcasing his style to the world daily. His label Stay True Sounds is making major moves, and continues to bring quality, consistency and a flair all its own.
Often imitated, never replicated, the Kid is SL people's.

A Brief History of Kid Fonque
Born in Scotland and raised in SA, Kid Fonque started making moves in the music industry 2 decades ago. His record label, Stay True Sounds, was started in 2016 and has released a massive amount of deep house albums and EPs over the years. Having been nominated for the Best Record Label award, Stay True Sounds aims to prioritise the young, up-and-coming house producers in SA. He also puts the creative youth on through his weekly radio show on 5FM Selective Styles where he plays a mix of classic and new music from our country.
