A Brief History of DORMANTYOUTH
DORMANTYOUTH is the DJ alias of Johannesburg-based, non-binary architect, Thelma Ndebele. Their interest in the intersection of music & architecture led to them using DJing as a research method for their master’s dissertation on mixing music as an act of temporary place-making within the nightclub space. Since then, they've been a mainstay in the music industry. A Resident at Vogue Nights JHB, and a regular at the Pussy Party, DORMANTYOUTH has also played virtual sets for the likes of Boiler Room and CTM, and now, SL Sound. We are so proud to have them featured for the month of August! Listen below!
