Shelflife Sound Mix 005: Dee Traits
Dee Traits is an African house music duo made up by two talented youngsters - BlaqMystique & Roy.
They are creating a buzz for themselves both locally, and very quickly internationally as Gqom and Amapiano take over more of the world. Their sounds can be found with placements on Movement Radio, a residency on Oroka radio and some very strategically placed sets and collabs.
Their SL Sound Mix is an emotive, heavily layered journey which is not only technically fire in it's transitions, but sonically pretty far beyond its years. It feels like a futuristic look at Gqom and South African heavy bass music - parts dystopian, parts euphoric - one can see why these guys are setting themselves apart and rising to the top.
