Shelflife x Grasshoppers Moc Chukka
One year later, and our journey with Grasshopper continues… with a difference!
Since the first Shelflife x Grasshopper release we have been flooded with requests to restock, and the support for our collaboration was incredible.
We are very excited to drop our new pack, the Shelflife x Grasshopper Moc Chukka. This time coming in fully inclusive size curves including ladies sizes.
The design success of the first Grasshopper is reiterated with this second chapter. The pairs feature an all-over black print on muted tones of moss, charcoal grey and denim blue with the biggest update being the mid chukka boot style with black wax laces. Each pair also includes extra cream wax laces, a black keychain and suede rubber.
Our inspiration for the collaboration follows the incredible generational employment of Bolton, and a whole town's community that has thrived off a factory in operation for over 130 years. Members of Grootbrak that work for Bolton have had parents and even grandparents work in the same factory, and still work for them to this day. One of the oldest, most sustainable businesses in South Africa that still employs over 1100 people to this day.
A truly proudly South African brand story, one we reside with, celebrate and support.
